im after an outer cv joint for my99 sti 6 import.what price/make/product number should i be getting??or has someone got one for sale???????

I had this problem, basically there are two types, one which everyone carries and a slightly different one. Think the “normal” one is 155mm long, its all about the body and shoulder length, the smaller one is 10mm shorter and NO ONE CARRIES IT.
Guess which one was fitted to mine …… yep the smaller one.

Driveline or Driveline on the team valley trading estate can recon it within 4 days but they do not carry it.
After much running about trying to find the smaller one (which according to some factors doesn’t exist) I ordered one from Subaru and it came as the wrong one
( ordered an outer joint they sent an inner WTF !!, not what I wanted after p!ssing about for over a week) fair play to the guys at monty’s it wasn’t down to them

After a lot of tribulations and a lot of help from Alyn (AS performance ) and scoobybits I ended up fitting the normal size one and all was fine .
Apart from the problem I thought was the CV wasn’t
Hopefully yours will be the normal one
