Default Pick up my first scoob on weds...

Can't wait!!! It's a 03 sti type uk with ppp. Now for the stupid questions! What's the type uk bit all about? Is it just to show that it's not an import? Also what have prodrive done to give it the extra power? The dealer told me it was just a de cat. Is this correct?
Please excuse my ignorance! I'm new to the scooby scene.

Thanks in advance for the info.

David.

Partial de-cat and remap. Type UK means its been tweked for the UK market.

Welcome to scoobynet- there's a lot of good advice on here, and a load of people talking absolute twaddle. It takes a while to distinguish between them.....

Hiya,

Sorry to cut in but what do you mean by tweaked for the UK. Would this not be simular to most European countries. Are the cars originally mapped for 95 or 97 ron? Is the type UK any different to, lets say a car being sold to Ireland?

Cheers.
