I've just spent 3hrs 20mins completing the following:

- cleaned outside of car top-to-bottom with Turtle Wax shampoo
- waited for car to dry
- recleaned outside of car where needed
- polished ALL bodywork and windows using shammy cloth
- cleaned bonnet, bumper, lights, mirrors with Turtle Wax 'Bug & Tar Remover'
- cleaned wheels using soapy water
- cleaned wheels using Auto Glym
- cleaned wheel arches using soapy water
- polished bonnet using Mer and waited to dry
- buffed bonnet to lovely shine

I then got in my sparkling WRX to drive to Halfords to buy a new Momo gear **** and you guessed it.................

IT'S FU**ING PI55ING IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

Not so bad.. providing it's not that dirty rain we get down in the South West.

Gets dragged up from the Sahara via the Gulf Stream apparently.

 

I live in South Wales so it IS the same dirty rain....the new gear ****'s nice though and it sayed dry (obviously!!!)

 

dont feel bad.there was a thread on here a while ago about people who wash their cars in the rain!!!

i have done exactly the same thing, washing and polishing the car and then you look up and there are the big grey storm clouds

hey at least your nice shiny new gear **** is dry
and i am sure your car appreciated the love and care you gave it.
(try doing that to your missus and see if you get the same result)

I have a neighbour who everytime i was my car , comes out and says it will rain now you have washed your car....bet he also thinks that if you kill a spider it will rain

 

Washed the car this morning and took it out while the sun shined . This evening fired the bbq up, come the time to put the food on and the heaven's opened lol. Stood there with the big sun umbrella over me while I turned the burgers

I live in Reading and a while back I called a mini cab and got a VERY clean red pug 406.

when I mentioned it was clean the driver told me that he cleaned hix car EVERY day even in rain and snow.

I did try yo get out there and then bou the doors were shut

.....I'm still here!

Did I read that right??? You're upset because it rained on your clean car? FFS man grow up there are 1/2 a million homeless people in Louisiana, and you're moaning about a dirty car!!!!! Do me a favour!

Yes, perhaps we should all give up laughing or posting tongue-in-cheek angry posts in case there has been a disaster somewhere in the world.. By the way, there are millions starving in Africa. I'd give good odds on the fat **** Yanks lasting a bit longer than them.
