hi,i have a 93 wrx turbo jap import does any one no what speeds i should get in each gear?

only getting about 50 mph in 2nd is this right?

 

should actually be a bit more BUT i wouldnt even bother checking that crap out, dont be hitting the limiter in your scoob!! not the point of having a turbo at all

 

could it be shorter gear ratios it has a plate by the gear stick saying razo is this normal?

 

nah man that could just be a razo gearknob or anything ya know?
i have a type r and thats as close a box as your gonna get, on paper it says mine will do just under 60mph in 2nd although im too busy looking at revs than speed! you should be concentrating on getting quick gear changes at the correct revs than trying to get 60mph out of second gear etc! ya know? IMO of course

maybe it's had RA box and diff then. early RAs had ludicrously short gears, especially on a WRX which limits 800rpm lower...

1st-36mph
2nd-64mph
3rd-90mph
4th-128mph
5th143mph
