Default Clutch slippage?????

Just after some info really, twice now ive been motorway driving and I try to accelerate when i do the engine surges by 500rpm slipps up like the clutch isnt biting then accelerates as normal but only in 4th and 5th gears. Its done this twice now in around 4 months, wasnt sure if it was the clutch or presure plate because once they start slipping thats it they go. Im pretty sure im gonna replace the clutch, just wonderd if anyone else has had the same experience, UK Spec non-modified MY99.

I have this on my Type R during winter months happens occasionally but not all the time (my mate also gets the same on a ~280BHP UK MY99). Seems like the clutch is buggered, but it should get worse and not better (as mine does) as time goes on! Sometimes a bit of a full-bore start seems to help (not sure if it blasts the cr4p from the friction plate?).
