PAINT PROBLEMS HELP NEED ASAP!!!

hey guys ive got a dark blue impreza the colour code is 416 ive got the paint and had it sprayed the bits that needed doing and its came out really pearlesent in the sun it doents look rite on the car is that because the old paint has faded and doesnt quite hav the same effect anymore or is it just a **** mix of paint its got like a violet tint in it im really cofused gonna try and buff the whole car up see how it look
any surgestions, anyone know what this colour is surposed to look like is it a violet/blue pearlesent

The mix is poss ok but the painter didnt put enough coats on to get the base,it needs doing again ? what panels have you had done ?

I used to have a Dark Blue Mica and it did have violet tint when the sun shone on it.The existing paint shouldnt fade because its protected by laquer,buffing the finish to an allover equal shine should help diguise it

Pearl and metallic paints differ in shading depending on how they are sprayed (distance, velocity, thickness of layers etc) and also if the the paint isn't mixed properly before and during application - which causes an uneven dispersion in the metallic and pearl pigments. Because of this it possible to get a completely different shade - even when using paint out of the same tin!
