which scooby's are or were restricted?

Default which scooby's are or were restricted?

hi all, first of all i am new, on here on behalf of my old man, hes jst bought a an X reg scooby 2000 turbo awd model, and i have just had a decussion about which models of subaru where restricted?

im sure i have read or heard somehwere that some of the UK scooby's where retricted to a certain top speed, but my old man doesnt believe this!

can anyone help as to who is right??

i think it was some jap imports that were limited to 112-115mph but whether that was due to gear ratios i'm not sure, someone will probably st me right soon enough

Not sure if top speed is restricted but the exhausts are very restricting,fit a decat system and u will see an instant improvement

is it legal to fit a de cat exhaust tho?? thought after a certain year a car with a non cat exhaust will fail MOT?

My original 1995 wrx was an import.
This had a kph speedo - and a speed limiter kicked in at 180 kph - around 112mph.
I never bothered removing it - but there were various ways you could.
I now have a WRX 05 model - with no speed limiter!

all the jappies are restricted to 180kph, but some come over de-restricted, and some come restricted, very easily passed tho with a fuel cut defender
