I am about to buy a totally standard UK model Impreza Turbo (non-STI) V-reg 1999. However I forgot to ask (silly I know) if it had remote central locking. Does this come as standard?

Good job you got a proper UK car as with an Import you need to push those little ***** in the top of the door frame to lock the car!!

Ok thanks. Yes he said it had a cat 1 alarm and immobiliser. He also said it used to have a tracker but the subscription wasn't renewed. However I would like to have an operational tracker. What do I have to do...do I simply ring up "Tracker", the organisation, and subscribe, or is there more involved, also what would be the cost to subscribe? I assume the tracker itself is in the car but just not operational - how could I prove the tracker is on the car?

Find out what make the tracker is, he should have the documentation if it`s previously been fitted and registered, give them a call and they`ll do the rest once you`ve paid them. For a Tracker subscription you`re looking around £120 a year..... Well worth it though, so mych peace of mind!!!

Should have CL - mines a 98 UK and has it as standard.

With the Tracker, I had to renew mine - you need to give them the reg # and VIN # and they should be able to do it over the phone for you.
