Default car covers?

as with most normal size garages, putting your car in one and trying to get out of the thing is a little bit tight to say the least!so,just bought a cover from argos for those winter nights etc...but with a version 6 spoiler it aint quite big enough!!! any know where i can get a bigger one from that"ll cover most of the car?

How much do you want to spend?

SCC will do one for about £250, Covercraft about £300, or stiracing.com will do one for £85 (designed for a newage but will sort of fit).

I want an SCC one, but dont have the cash at the mo, so ordered one from stiracing.com - hasnt shown up yet, but many people have used them before so I have faith!

Hi there

I too have a couple of the extra large argos car covers. Mine fits my classic no problem at all, in fact it is way too big, so had to butcher it a little and sew some extra elastic into the corners to stop in coming off in the wind.

The car cover was previously on my Saab 9000, which is much longer than the Scooby, so I am surprised it doesnt fit yours, even with the large rear spoiler

You could always try ebay, I have seen plenty listed on there before that are xxxxl in size

Make sure the cover is soft enough on the inside to not mark the paint! Some of the cheaper covers may be designed to keep off dust etc in a garage, but would not be suitable for windy conditions.

Ordered one today from Carcraft after samples of the cloth were sent (along with a few other car cover companies spec sheets and samples) I went with the Noah/Customized for MY05 STi at £220 inc VAT and delivery, storage bag etc. Really, really soft interior coating to reduce scratching and breathable to boot. Elasticated front and back with middle grommets for tie-down hurricane situations.

Very nice to deal with, shall report more when it arrives.
