Finished work early this morning, so went for a gentle meander into macc, up the cat & fiddle then up long hill and home via newmills. Saw about 3 other cars on the cat & fiddle, roads lovely and quiet, window down, lovely warm morning.

cant beat driving at that time of day. best time to be out on the roads is just before dawn, and somewhere like the dales, lakes, or anywhere in durham catching the sun come up when you're blatting through the deserted countryside rocks
