Default ABS PROBLEM PLEASE HELP

if the abs light comes (on) on the dash its telling me theres a problem with the brakes right?.

(wrx 1993 GI).

ive been told (i think this is complete b*ll*cks) the car as been on a dealers diagnostic computer check and the guy is telling me it cannot find the fault.

can some one put me strate on this please.

1st can the computer not pick the fault up.

2nd what could be the possible causes of this fault

ps i dont own this car yet!

Default Dunno if its true but......

Don't know if its true but I got told by a mate that if both your brake lights go out it flags up your ABS warning light on the dash. Might just be 2 knackered bulbs.

A 93 car cannot be checked by the computer trouble codes can only be flashed out using a block connector under the dash !

so does the light want re setting from the block connector under the dash and will this fix the problem???????
