Can't stand that lag no more!!!!

I am taking the plunge, ditching my warranty if I have to and modding my 2yr 3mth black sti8 with ppp & 18" prodrive wheels.

I want to make it more responsive at low revs (don't everyone) and raise the total HP.

I don't want to hang the thing out to dry and blow it up either.

Don't want loud exhaust, may even get rid of ironing board spoiler (wolf in sheeps clothing look appeals).

Spose I need to look at ECU, intercooler, exhaust? But which ones!!!

Any ideas

Needs a lot of thought, because not much short of twin scroll or a bigger engine (unless you fit a smaller turbo and lose power) will give you massive improvements in low down torque over the PPP, and you'll lose warranty and resale value. Go test drive a V8? (half serious)

Hi, a couple of things:

It's worth speaking to Bob Rawle about what mods you should look to do as his Sti was sitting around 370 bhp with the standard intercooler. He is also one of the top Ecu mappers and highly respected in Scooby circles.

Secondly, if you are looking to get rid of your rear spoiler I'll gladly take it off your hands for a good price. I have a Black MY03 WRX so a spoiler swap may be an idea.
