Clutch has started to slip and im looking to replace it but not sure what type. Its running about 400 to 450 horse. Would a paddle do or would i need a twin plate??

According to Andy F, the standard subaru clutch will take that sort of Power.

 

So a paddle clutch would last fine then? even with qmile sprints?

 

Yes, but it will be a pain to use if you are planning to use your car on the road.

 

I resently fitted a Lateral performance paddle clutch as suggested by Mark as I'm now pushing 380bhp/380lbft.
It is a little bit "grabby" when moving off from a standstill but nothing you don't get used too. Once moving it feels like a std clutch

IMHO if you are running 400-450 bhp and doing qtr mileing then you should be using a paddle minimum.

A paddle will wear faster than a std organic as the power is being transmitted trough a smaller surface area.

Twin plates are expencive and can be noisey!
