Hi all!can any 1 tell me if u can mod the air box on a 03sti so u can hear the bov or get more power from it,or should i just get a cone filter!thanks 4 any help!!!

 

Well...u can try removing the ressonator (box) and join the air scoop to the air filter box with a elbow joint! Nut nothing like a big bad cne filter for BOV sound and turbo spool!

 

As nunosm says, you can remove the resonator in the wing, but you don't need to connect it back to the intake. You can just leave it drawing nice cool air from the wing and I'm told it makes the DV and intake much more audible, although you should blank off the hole left by the intake snorkel.

Maybe I was unlucky, but the cone filter I fitted wiped out my MAF in 2 weeks - it did sound good though but I decided to leave it off.............
