Today I decided to detango my 04 WRX, everything went fine as I followed the instructions and removed my lights etc, removed all the screws from the back of the lights and put them in the oven, left them in there for 10mins and melted all the back of the lights and front casing(DOH), all my own fault really, I should of checked properly. So anybody out there who has a drivers side front light for sale for a 04 WRX let me know, also if anybody has a set of detangoed lights all ready done for sale then PM me please.

100 deg for 10 minutes usually does the job, no damage. To melt the light he must have had it way higher.

After:

The favoured method for removing the orange wedge is to heat the light in an oven to melt the sealant around the light to enable it to be prised apart...although it seems the oven may of been a tad high in this guys case and resulted in a melted headlight!

Hope that helps!

That was weak

The effect is amazing....people at work keep asking what i've done to the front of the car...some work out it's the lights but still don't know exactly what it is....but all agree somehow it looks so much better.
