Default Car cutting out

I have a standard 93 wrx which I have been fitting loads of mods to over the past few weeks

I had a FMIC and induction kit fitted and it started ok.

I then fitted walbro 255 fuel pump and now the car won't start.

It tries to fire up but won't, if I press the gas peddle it fires up and as long as I keep my foot on it then it runs. As soon as I take my foot off it cuts out.

I assume it has something to do with the fuel pump, but don't know what.

I basically took the pump, float etc out of my crashed wrx (same year) and bolted that into my standard car, attaching all 3 pipes.

Is there anything else I should have done ?

I read something about cutting a resistor off, where would this be ? I assumed it would be on the pump/float bit and would already have been done ?

Cheers
