Default Help needed please. Poor running when cold

I've noticed the car seems to hesitate and feel very flat when cold.
this only seems to last for a couple of miles max and once its warmed up it feels fine.

When its cold it feels like it wants to pick up but something is holding it back.

I am careful to drive off boost until it's warmed up.

Any ideas?

P.S. it's a 2001 P1 which is standard other than the exhaust back box.

Thanks,

Graham.

Sounds normal to me, ecu goes closed loop from water temp of 60 deg C, below that its open loop, worth getting checked out if its really bad as could be maf indication, what mileage ?

It's covered 64K miles and has been regularly serviced always on time.

It's on it's second MAF already. Maybe the MAF's on it's way out again, but it does drive fine once it's warmed up.

Graham.
