Cool MPG, shocking

Hi Scooby Peeps,

I know we all don't have scoobies for the great MPG the cars offer.

I have a question to put to you all..............

Can any give me an idea what MPG I'm going to get if I put roof bars and two mountain bikes on a WR1.

Cheers everyone for your feed back.

C.

well its like this ur only going to get 17-20mpg anyway if u drive conservatively without the roof "mods",
watch ur warranty!!!

i have a wr1 and its such a thirsty dog on the optimax without added weight wind resistence, best idea sell the bikes and roof rack and go on a track day instead.

I was down to 12-15mpg with a golf gti and with the Scooby it's going to be single figures I guess.
I guess it would be cheeper to buy something for the bikes or I could just get on my bike, use leg power and make my way to the Lake District.

Whats this about Warrenty ?
I know Subaru will try what ever they can to get out of warrenty, so I'm guessing they would see roof bars and rack as a performance modification.

why not buy a trailer and clip (is it clip or attatch or connect) it on the back with an attractive, yet functional tow bar, thats the way forward.
