Unhappy Many, many punctures..!!!!

Anyone suffering an abnormal number of punctures recently..?

I've had two in the last 3 months, one in each front, and both times they've been too close to sidewall and unrepairable..!!! £130 a pop..!!!

My brother has had three in the same period although only one resulted in a puncture and that was repairable (just). I also know of several other people who have recently had a spate of punctures.

Is it just our area (nail/screw city..!) or has anyone else been so unfortunate..?

It's got to the point now where I'm afraid to check..!

Cheers,

Jason

been lucky so far since i had new F1s all round (touch loads of wood), but suffered alot before

i think i picked up mine where i work, drive down a shared driveway which goes thru the neighbouring coachworks. they have a lovely habit of leaving rivet pins laying on the ground along with a various assortment of self tapers

seem to have solved the problem by buying one of those long magnets on wheels, run that up and down the yard before i go home and you wouldn't believe all the crap i've picked up.

might be worth getting one if you're unlucky enough like me to drive thru a **** heap minefield of tyre poppers every day

On my previous car it happened a few times, then I found out that the ****** that lives near my mum had once burnt a stack of fence panels on the unmade road that they share. ****. If I could have proved that they emanated from there I'd have claimed off him.

"Don't park too close into kerbs" is a good piece of advice.

I think you can get tyre insurance from certain places. Might be worth looking into if you seem to attract punctures.

Went to Birmingham shopping with Mrs on Sunday - notice nail in tyre yesterday !!

Maybe all approaches to the city have been "prepared" for Scooby's !!

It always happens when you get a new tyre, never the old bald ones!! The last 2 sets of tyres i have bought, within a week (the chalk lines were still on the tyres!!) i have ripped the sidewall out of a tyre!!!
