Default 05 JDM STI CLUNK.

This is starting to drive me mad.

It's similar to the common DCCD noise you get occasionally when making tight cornering moves at slow speed ( even in auto) when you get that clunking or binding noise on full lock.

However, mine has now started to make similar noises although less pronounced, when moving in a straight line at very slow speeds either when pulling up to a slow stop or when pulling away slowly. Can't seem to really notice it when moving at speed. You can feel the clunk or binding through the pedals/steering wheel as well. Seems to vary as to whether it's coming from the front or rear or left or right sides, usually one corner or another, never from all 4.

Am I the only one who has this problem ? and what is it ?

It has good days and bad days, went through a period of a couple of weeks when I thought it had gone away but then it came back. Never used to do it from new, happened about 2K miles later and just appeared for no apparent reason.

any ideas or is this just "normal" ??.

Definitely not 'normal'. Are you 100% sure it's coming from the diffs and not the anti-roll bars?

it's a rotational noise so can't see it coming from the ARB's...
