Default seized alloy valve caps

My valve caps have seized and i cant remove them...anyone got any ideas? ive tried gloves for better grip, pliers to twist them but no luck. Took them to a local garage and they said they might have to cut them off...surely not?! All i want to do is to check my tyres....

Thanks

wd40 with time to soak in, then wipe off excess and pour boiling water over the caps, long steady stream to get them nice and hot while trying to untwist with pliers.

Pliers on the cap and pliers on the valve stem - just twist in opposite directions!!

If you're not looking at Gay Gold Wheels you should have the manly strength to undo them!

Pete.

As the resident Duck Fart said - make sure you grip the stem and the valve seperately or you'll break the valve. Not the end of the world but a pain in the bum.
