Default Corrosion on the wheels of my 03 WRX!

It's done 36K and I'm thinking of taking it back to the dealer as there is corrosion on the edges of the spokes - anyone else had the same problem?

Mine are a bit discoloured and pock marked. I don't think the previous owner took really good care of it, whereas I wash it at least weekly (sometimes 2-3 times if salt is around) and keep up to the wheels as best I can. I've resigned the standard wheels to track use and have some new ones to go on when the weather settles.

Question

Do you mean the back of the spokes where the laquering finishes?

I made a call to my dealer about this same thing yesterday. There are bubble marks where the corrosion has started to take hold. Its a year old with 25k! I have agreed to send some photos of the wheels to their warrantky claims bloke. At the end of teh day I don't think its good enough after that length of time. I'll let you know how I get on.

The only wheel cleaner I've ever used is meguiars, and I've only used it two times in total (didn't leave it on longer than described either).... Didnt' think it worked that well, so I have resorted to soapy water and toothbrush lately.

Car's 1.5 years old with 14000 miles.

The bubbles on mine are in the crevices where the 'spokes' meet the outer rim, so to speak.

if you use any wheel cleaner your asking for trouble anyway!

not sure what the meguirs stuff is like, is it an acid?
regular washing with a sponge is far better for the wheels
