Earler this afternoon I was heading up the M40 towards Oxford, I was sat in middle lane at about 80/85mph. Somewhere between the M25 junc and Junc 3 I started coming up on a dark blue Volvo estate thing (looked like a wardrobe that had been turned on it's side tbh), anyway, checked rear view mirror, indicated and pulled out, passed Volvo, checked rear view again to make sure it was ok to pull back into middle lane and did so. A nanosecond later my small but perfecly formed brain registered ...... UNMARKED POLICE CAR ........ bugger
Anyhoo, volvo then proceeds to speed up, I check my speed, 80mph and ease up a little (pointless I know) Volvo pulls along side and passenger points at his ear and makes an OK sign with his thumb and forefinger, smiles and then they accelerate to warp factor volvo and dissappear.

As an aside, what in gods name do they do to those volvos? Christ they shift !!

Nowt, they are standard V70 T5s with 255 Bhp on tap, however there are a few 'specials' in TV but not Volvos.

Until recently N Yorks Plod had a few Imprezas which were unmarked and had PPP..
