Okay, so I'm driving along as normal, doing about 30mph in my MY95 STI and all of a sudden BEEP BEEP from somewhere in the dash, then about 2 seconds later, 5 more beeps in rapid succession. Then no more, and all seemed normal.

I nearly sh*t myself, does anyone know what it could be? I've not had the car very long, its just been serviced, I've checked all the fluids, I wasnt caning it, nor had I been before it happened.

I'm using optimax and octane booster. I dont think it was the alarm (Cobra Cat1) and I dont think there were any warning lights on the dash at the time, temp is running about halfway up the scale, so I dont think its overheating.

The car has a dump valve, and an apexi induction kit, apart from that its standard.

Any ideas??

its most probably your rac trackstar warning you of speed cameras! which might not be on the database no more

 

Its funny you should say that, because thats what I thought it might be - the only thing is - it doesnt have a tracker or anything, that I know of.

It sounds similar to a radar detector but there's nothing to indicate its got one.

 

Have you got a handsfree car kit? It may have found a phone it likes.

Thanks for the suggestions, Dont think theres a handsfree kit in it, but there are some mysterious boxes under the dash.

I havent heard it again since my first post - weird.

 

Heard it again when I drove past the same spot!!! - right beside a speed camera!!

My car has a RADAR detector!! lol!!

Dont think it picks up gatsos tho, the camera was a TRUVELO type.
