just got my first scooby,,,,,,,,,,,,,
picked it up yesterday, what a nice car to drive,i had a celica gt4(still have for sale)before this, but the scooby is so much nicer to drive,it's a wagon as i needed a family car,
i have just fitted my blitz induction kit on it today, and it had a blitz exhaust on it all ready,it sounds great, but i was wondering if you have to reset the ecu after fitting the induction kit or is it just a straight swap?????????if i need to reset it is it easy????????
all so i want a d/valve but i wanted to get some chatter rather than the normal dump valve noise,is there any thing else i need to do to the car to get chatter,or is there a certain type of dump valve that will give me the noise,i live neer sanspeed so i might pop in there tomorrow and ask them.........
ps what a great site loads of info and bargains to be had.........

I don't think a 96 ECU can be remapped, so you'd need to get an ECU replacement like an APEXi PowerFC (£750 all in from AndyF) or a Link ECU (£ a bit more from BRDevelopments). Until then, Octane booster and a Knocklink are probably a very sensible idea to stop it gong bang.
