whats the best 90degree entry turbo

Default whats the best 90degree entry turbo

mate of mine wants to fit a better turbo to his car

he is currently having the engine rebuilt with forged pistons rods etc.

he is now looking at a better turbo, he has a td05 at the minute.

can any give me some advice for him

It would help to know the engine size(2.0, 2.2,2.5 ?) and how much power your friend hopes to get.

Front entry TD series turbos can be converted back to 90 degree inlet with Samco tubing and still fit with the phase 1 inlet manifold, see
www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk and have a look at the turbo section

Edit to add - the gearbox will be the limiting point - your mates TD05 will most probably break it if tuned to its full potential.
