The second CAT section of the exhaust on our Legacy estate (2.2 MY96 on a P) has fallen apart. Local exhaust place said that only genuine subaru part is available (pricey) so i ordered it up and it arrived saturday. They tried to fit it but the flange on the rear end of the CAT section is at totally the opposite angle of the one on the centre section.

Subaru are telling him that the part is correct and that no other exists. He is certain that he isnt doing anything wrong.

Whats going on? Anybody else had a similar problem with a legacy
