hi guys

i want to get some more out of my UK impreza, i currently have a full 3" de-cat system from turbo back, STI V4 intercooler, PPP ECU.

i want to get more torque and power after 5000RPM as the TD04 is just not doing the job, and i wont want to go for the TD05 (budget problem) and i will need a re-map after that,

will a Slip-joint Up-pipe incerase the power and torque?? also is it safe to increase the boost to 1.1bar???? will the standard UK block and gear box hold the boost??

Just a thought bud. Are you happy with your braking system? See little point in adding all this power only to find you can't stop the thing.

 

can't see how you can gain without a remap being top of your list. but you need to be happy with your mods b4 this or you'll pay out twice. have you considered secondhand sti4 turbo and then remap got to put you in 300 club.

got the 4pots already, i think is enough for me....

 

i understand the gain by changing the turbo and a remap, but i dont really want to touch the turbo for now, i want to get some more out of the td04 first, any idea???

With the ppp ecu what boost are you running at the moment?

Wont be far off 1.0 bar I would imagine?

You could up the boost with a dawes to 1.1 bar which wont really be a problem although I wouldnt be doing this without monitoring whats going on, knocklink etc.

If it was me i would wait and save for along the lines off td05/td06 and remap, fuel reg/pump and prob go for apexi set up by Andy F.
