hi, removed my vta few days ago replaced with oem recirc dump valve.is the exhaust still supposed to "pop + bang"? mine does. full de-cat with ninja b/box.
is this right?

I would still get pops and bangs (over overrun) with a full decat and a Forge Recirc - not as many as I did get with a HKS VTA mind you

 

cant be certain mate ,but sounds fine to me.my p1 pops and bangs on down throttle before and after decat.just waste fuel going in to hot exhaust.much rather run rich on my scooby than lean ,lot safer.

 

Is it sealed properly on the gasket area? ECU reset may be wise as your VTA will have confused the ECU somewhat. It will relearn pretty quick if you dont reset though.

Mine does a little bit, so wouldn't worry.
