Default home made air filter heat shield

here's my attempt to keep the hot air away from the cone :

i made a cardoard template first , then got a bit of alloy sheet from B and Q, cut and bent a bit and split some fuel hose down the middle to finish off the rough edges.

it might help a bit in the warmer weather

Looks good mate 8)

I am planning on doing something similar but taking it a stage further and boxing in the top of the filter, with a hole below the boonet vent and fitting a mini scoop to draw cold air directly into the new airbox!

Did the filter feel noticable cooler after a run???
