hi all,
P1 intercooler - can it fit MY02wrx or MY97sti import?
My m8 just had his MY00 P1 written off and thinking to do an intercooler swop either on my 02wrx or my bros 97sti-import.
Any advise is appreciated.

dont think it will be an improvment on the MY2002 and it will take a bit work to get it to fit on the MY97, but there is no point as it will already have an sti intercooler on

So you r saying it should fit straight on my WRX02???
My wrx02 has not got sti intercooler!!!

 

it wont fit straight on yours as the brackets and dump valve are different, plus the P1 intercooler will be smaller than your wrx intercooler

 

not much point in putting the P1 intercooler onto your 02rex. You should be looking at the sti7/8 ones which is a direct fit.

He 02 WRX intercooler is already bigger than the P1.

What you need to upgrade is the Y piece under neath it.

The PI would fit well on the 97, but yu will need a Hayward and scott adaptor for the dump valve.

If it isnt a 97, but a late register 96, with a slanty intercooler fitted, then more work is required to fit it, all of which has been documented on SN before.
