Default EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR MY01

Wonder if anyone can help me im thinking of changing my up pipe down pipe maybe just 1 of them any ideas and what bhp gain would be given i had the car up on the ramp and i the exhaust only seems to be in 3 bits but ive been onto scoobysport and it shows that it is in 4 bits
Ive got a jap s/s backbox which runs all the way up to the centre section then i have a short piece with a cat on it which i thought was the centre section or is this the downpipe with the sensor on it and from that is the up pipe i gather with cat on it plz someone help me thanx steve

Theres another pic of the sections here;

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/trolleyed/8/index.htm

Up pipe with cat
Down pipe with cat
Centre section with cat (this is the short one you can see with the sensor in it)
Rear section with resonator
Rear box

Dont know about BHP figs I'm afraid.. I have PPP which is rear box then de-catted centre section, after that seems most go for a de-catted downpipe (for which you will need a CEL fix) then up-pipe which is probably the most difficult one to replace.

Up-pipe necessary if you're going to up the boost, also helps spool up. Personal recommendation (and the way I went) is to decat the up-pipe, change the whole exhaust, putting in a sports cat downpipe or centre. Then get an ECUTEK remap which will sort out any CEL light issues. Doing that, expect to get ~280bhp at Power Engineering - I made 284bhp/272lbft on my 02WRX. Do a search in drivetrain, it's been talked about hundreds of times.

Leave him alone.

He's excited, that's all.

I agree with Hades.

I've recently had the same mod's fitted to my 02WRX (different supplier) and they make a serious improvement to the power delivery - both mid range & top end.
