I want to replace the steering wheel on MY98 uk turbo .... if i remove the steering wheel do i have to do anything to stop the airbag going off ?

and once removed will i get the airbag warning light come n all the time ?

any advise would be helpfull ...

if u remove the battery terminal, and let the airbag system de charge for around 20 mins, then u can remove the airbag. be very careful tho, don,t be rough with it. treat it like it is a bomb!!!!

as for the light i shud think it will leave it on. not 100% sure tho.
