Default Head skimming

Is it necessary to have the heads skimmed when having a rebuild for big end failure?
I just want to double check as i'm getting conflicting info.
Cheers

No,

Only skim the heads if the surface is damaged, or if they arent flat.

head skimming will also require a strip and reassembly of the heads. If they are clean and free from defects, then they should be fine.
