probably a SIAL question, but will a MY99 turbo backbox fit on a MY99 sport.

Not without modifying the flange,the sport has different hole centres.

ok then. so the turbo backbox to sport centre has different hole centres and won't match up.
what about the turbo centre to sport downpipe connection, will they match up.

A non-turbo car will not have a down-pipe as there is no turbo for it to run down from!
I would imagine that there is simply a connecting pipe between manifold and centre section. These are likely yo be different sizes.

 

the sport is completly different manifold back, sucks because of the lower volume of tuned sports exhaust products are more epensive than on a turbo.
