Default Blitz supersound blow off valve

I have just bought a blitz DD super blow off valve (#70082), but all the fitting instructions are written in barbed wire, does anyone have an english copy, or give a brief list of the stages of the installation and setup/adjustment for 99 STI5. If you have one please email Hoverbod @ aol.com.

Thanks folks.

Assuming its similar to a uk my99.

fit it to your intercooler, fit the pipe from the top of the bov to the inlet manifold and blank off the large diameter recirc pipe with a bung.

the adjutment screw on the top of the valve determines when the valve will release pressure.

all the way out ... blows off at low boost pressure.

all the way in ... blows off at higher boost pressures.

You'll find that if you set it to low, your car will try to stall eg when stopping or hunt at idle.

if you set it at a mid point it will cause excessive pops and bangs due to overfuelling, the lower vent is very close to the diaphragm(sp) allowing it to flutter on coast down.

I found that by fitting the filtered trumpet, the smaller vent is blocked and virtually eliminated the pops and bangs, however it makes the valve very quiet.

So i modified mine by making a gasket out of some polyprop. blanking the small vent and allowing me to use the other trumpet.
