I've just received a letter from my friendly neighbourhood scooby dealer informing me that my car is due for a body service and that if this is not done the anti-corrosion warranty will be invalidated. He wants £140 for the service.

Is it worth having the service done? Has anyone experienced corrosion problems on scoobies?

It does stink for ages and ages (Wax is poured into various bits of your car). I want to maintain the warranty so I had it done.

I suspect it would affect any resale value if you didn't...

 

Shop around, you get wildy different quotes from different dealers. I had my done at Concours in Haslemere (while I waited). It was about 70 squid, Lancaster wanted about 3 times as much.
