Default Scooby, 2 cars or Bike and currnet car.....what would you do

I'm still in the market for buying a scoob i think but i cant quite make my mind up.

Me and the Twife had a beutifull baby girl in october and as such could do with a larger car. (Currently have a 206 GTI)
I have 3....well 4 options and i cant make my mind up on what to do.

1. Sell the 206 and buy a 10-11k wrx bugeye for me and the wife to drive.

2. Keep my 206 and buy the wife a 52 reg punto sporting / clio 1.2 dynamique

3. Keep my 206, let the wife use the 206 and buy a 400cc/600cc road bike for my commute to work.

4. Keep the 206 and carry on as i am but with 6k in my savings.

option 4 is by far the cheapest method followed by 3 but what do you think would be cheaper to run. 2 cars or a scoob ???

(Insurance for both cars would total £1400 and a scoob would be £1100 tops.)

mate, I had a 306 gti 3 door when my son was born, that size car is fine when they are small, you have to be careful when buying prams ect, you can get away with it, when they get to 2 or 3 you will find it a chore getting them in and out of the back with a 3 door car.

We have a 03 impreza plus a A3 3 door, regret getting the a3 3 door now, the subaru is fine. make sure you do the sums for the subaru well and how much the baby will cost no point in getting a car to figure out you cant afford to run it and have to get shot quickly losing even more money.

my advice, stick with the car you have, figure out what you need when the baby is here and you know what you can afford. and by that time the 03's may have come down in price even more.

A Scoob is a great fun buy but def don't buy one if money's gonner get tight and def not a new one - I bought a new 04 STI in Sep and last I looked, it was loosing money faster than it drinks fuel (and thats fast).
I originally was going to sell my bike (RSV) and replace with the Scooby but not so sure now as when the sun comes out again even a STI can not deliver any where near the same performance.
