Does your Road Angel warn of Gatso's when you are driving towards them.

Mine doesn't even if there are markings on both sides of the road. I have updated regularly.

Is this because Gatso's cannot detect when you are driving towards them?

i have a road angel. if you are talking about the camera being on the other side of the road then no it wont. it will only pick up the ones in the direction you are going.
I thought this was strange when i got mine as the snooper used to get them both ways. But then i remembered that gatso only get you on the side of the road you are on.

 

Mine will pick up forward facing Truvelo's, but it wont bother to tell me of theres a camera on the other side of the road, as it doesn't need too.

Don't worry if i were you mate, it wont go of if your not gonna get flashed or picked up.

There is a duel carrageway by where I work where the Gatso regularly flashes when the car driving towards it is speeding, even though there is a central reservation.

If you cannot get prosecuted when driving towards a Gatso this would explain why it doesn't warn me.

Gatsos be triggered by traffic coming in the opposite direction (most disorientating if someone shoots past you and sets one of that flashes right in your eyes) However, they can ONLY prosecute usgin pictures taken from the rear. As stated above, RA won't bother with camers GATSOs facing you, only Truvelos, which are intended to be foward facing.

HOWEVER,

Watch reversible Gatsos! If you haven't updated your RA since a reversible one has been turned around the RA may miss it!! Think of it as an extra pair of eyess, it's not foolproof!
