Default Skidpan courses

Does anyone know where there's a skidpan course which uses Imprezas? I think it's a good idea for me to go on one, but not much point if the car's not awd. Any other courses people would recommend (West Mids ideally)?

Pointless in my opinion. I've done a couple of courses on the type of skid pan that uses oil and water to make a really slippery surface. It's all low speed slides which are completely unrealistic when compared to the type of slides you'll get into in real life. The theory is that because the surface is super slippery, it makes up for the lack of speed when practising. B@llox! The techniques involved to recover may be broadly correct but these type of skid pans in no way prepare you for how fast things actually happen in a real life slide. Needs to be done at 30+ mph to really prepare you for it.

I wouldn't be as scathing as LC Geezer but I would just like to add that I haven't seen a skidpan course that uses more than 2WD. You usually get to go in a RWD and then a FWD to see the difference.

There's one that been organised in Southern but that uses front and rear wheel drive cars. I don't know of one available for 4 wheel drive
