Default Newage Exhaust Question

Hi,

In particular I am after the following info.

My car is a MY02 STI with PPP, so I know the downpipe has been changed and the new one has a sports cat in it, and the back box has been changed.

So what about the middle bit.

According to the Scoobyworld website:

There are 2 bits that make up the centre section.

So, on my car, is there still a cat in the section section aswell as the resinator ?

Long term goal is to perhaps change this bit ?

Is it worth it.

Scoobyworld do a ninja replacement pipe, as do quite a number of other companies.

Advice anyone ?

There are 3 cats on a newage, one in the up pipe one in the down pipe and yes one in the centre section.

Opps should have said that the 3rd cat is in the first part of the 2 centre sections

On STI? '03 is definitely downpipe (with cat), mid-section (with resonator) & tail section with silencer (changed on PPP I think), so I would imagine '02 STI is too...
I think the diagram is for WRX

WRX has up-pipe cat, STi doesn't, I believe. IIRC, the STi PPP removes the centre cat and replaces the downpipe with a sports cat.

Unless you are going for big power, I don't believe you'll get a lot of benefit changing the exhaust from the STi PPP one - I am fairly sure several people have shown that the PPP exhaust is pretty free flowing.
