Question Problems with the Neutral position switch

I've got a problem with my NPS. According to the manual I have, when testing the continuity of the sensor between the terminals in the connector block on the clutch housing and the body the reading should be greater than 1 megohm. I'm getting 0.8 ohm. This doesn't change whether the car is in gear or not. (reading taken from the positive wire and the body)

Does this sensor when bought new, come just as the sensor or is it sensor and wiring loom?

Was asking as the manual I have is for a phase 2 and I have a phase 1.

Weird though as it passes all other tests listed in the manual. Its lust like the live it passing straight to the chassis (which it is).

take it to a dealer they can plug in and see if it is switching when you select gear so easy and quick they prob won't charge. if you buy a new one it will come with the wire attached and a new sealing washer

Whats the sealing washer made out off? Rubber by any chance? Mines been in 6 years and is covered in grease, oil and general 6 years of crap.

I can see the switch switching, I get 4.85v in neutral, and 0v in gear. But I think a new switch is in order. depends if the ECU is before the switch or after it.

Just looked at the circuit diagram in the manual, and the I should get an open circuit on the positive feed from the ecu (which I don't). New switch going on order tomorrow.
