Default coolant capacity

anyone know the total capacity of cooling system on a 95 sti 2
also how easy/difficult is refilling the system
anything to watch out for . airlocks etc

thanks in advance for any info

if you are lucky it wil have a screwing draining plug on the bottom of the radiator (on the right) but if not you can undo the botom hose which is attached to the thermostat housing and drain it from there then reattch it obviously!

its pretty easy to fill up because u jus fill it up either throught the header tank or through the top of the radiator depending on which car it is! it takes roughly over 6 litres of anti freeze mixed 50/50 with with water! so half a litre water and half a litre anti freeze!

after it starts to drain really slowly and having put about 4 litres in jus start the car up and let it drain down whilst filling it up constantly until it wil not take any more. easy as that really. no major pit falls. may be hard doing it on a drive but well worth doing before the winter!

think the car has a 9 litre capacity something like that
