YES they will fit on to your back box,you would be changeing your exhaust from a 4 piece to the classic 3 piece.All you have to do is blank the top lamda plug off and fit one at the bottom of the down pipe .

Even if you did manage to get them to fit, recent testing has proved once again that you won't gain anything other than noise and lose power slightly as well as compromising your warranty. If you have a Performance Package down pipe and centre pipe fitted you have already taken advantage of any benefits that decatting would ever give you.

Mikes right, to get the best from fitting a full decat it will need remapping to suit, then there would be gains to be made.

Mike, does the MY02 STI PPP downpipe have a cat fitted?

The downpipe does have a cat fitted but as the foil thickness is 0.15mm and it's 4x the surface area of the rest of the exhaust it provides absolutely no restriction whatsoever. We have also found that the extra volume of the cat and it's inlet and outlet cones actually helps gasflow when compared to a straight pipe.
