lack of power
got a my99 forester s turbo on 72k miles.
it has been back to the selling dealer on at least six occasions in order to have various things sorted and now according to them it is as good as it should be.
however it can't pull the skin off of a rice pudding never mind it's own *** up a decent incline or indeed off the line for that matter (wasted by a corsa! ffs!) especially when compared to an older R reg car of the same spec.
it has been suggested by a scoob conversant mechanic friend that much of it's problem could be down to a dead or dying MAF sensor.
so do MAF sensors die on a regular basis, when they do what are the symptoms (are they similar to my cars) or if it's not the MAF sensor what is it likly to be?
cheers in advance.
