Default Audi S4 Avant £14,750

I'm a bit strapped for cash, so I'm selling my S4 and downgrading to something a bit cheaper e.g. a Golf GTI:

2000 'V' Audi S4 Avant (estate) Quattro
2.7 bi-turbo V6, 265bhp 290lb/ft (un-modded)
39k miles
silver w/ black leather interior
air-con
6 CD
xenons
etc...

[Edit] Now reduced to £14,750 [/Edit]

This is a very fast, refined car. A nice upmarket alternative to a scooby.
The car is in mint condition, apart from a few scrapes on the alloys.
It's MOT'd until Mar 2005 and taxed until Aug 2005.

I may consider a part-ex for a Golf GTI (or similar) plus cash.

cheers,
Andy

I washed and hoovered the car yesterday, and it just reminded me how nice the car is ... I was really having second thoughts about selling!

cheers,

Hi mate, nice car.
If only it was next year, I'd be seriously tempted.
You might have a bit more luck if you added details of service history, warranty (if any, or how much one would cost from the Audi shop), condition of tyres etc...
Also, just being nosey but did you paint the callipers or are they upgraded?
Good luck with the sale, don't suppose you fancy a straight swap with my Scoob????

Well it's got a full Audi dealer service history - the next service is due in Jan 2005. No warranty left - I'm not sure what the cost would be of one from Audi, probably around £800? Tyres are in decent condition - they were new in March this year, and I've only done around 3000 miles on them. The calipers are just the standard ones, painted red. They were like that when I got the car - got my hopes up briefly that I had lucked out and got a car with Porsche brakes, but no such luck

Sorry, can't do a straight swap The ONLY reason I am trying to sell is to free up some cash, so only a swap for a lesser car + cash is any good to me. If I didn't need the money, I would be keeping this car for a long time

Andy, I was seriously tempted to buy your S4, had a test drive in one and these are great cars, faster than a UK scooby, more refined, excellent build quality but they still have the 4WD and turbo kick. Sorry gone to the dark side and brought a 330 CI sport. To quite honest you are giving this away at £16,000, let alone £15,500 ono. This dealer cant get enough of these and would put you car on there forcort at £19,000 plus. Over the past few weeks that I have been looking at car they must have shifted 4-5 S4 avants at up to £19,995. Give them a call they may give you a decent offer.

If not someone will get a bargin

Cheers damage. I've already given Fontain a call, and I wasn't too impressed with their offer

As you say, it's a lot of car for £15-16k, and Fontain would probably have it up for around £17,995 ... but they offered me about 5k less than that

Good luck with you 330ci ... I had that on my short-list before I bought the S4 ... very nice car

Hi Diesel,

I live in Greenock, which is about 25 miles west of Glasgow.
Looks like you're in Surrey, so probably quite a long trip!
Let me know if you're still interested.

cheers,
Andy
