Default 25yo 6yrs ncb......and im quoted

Searched high and low for a reasonable insurance quote for a bug eye wrx.

I live in Bradford which has a relativley high car crime rate and the best quote
ive had so far is......(all have £350 excess and have my mother as a named driver......having ur mum on the insurance seems to drop it by about £100-£200)

Still havent tried Liverpool victoria though as their online quote system would not accept me on a standard wrx bug eye!

1st
£969fully comp with privilage
its 1128.75 for above but protected no claims. so i aint going to bother.

2nd
Directline
£1030 fully comp only
£1180 fully comp protected

3rd
Admiral
£1157 fully comp only
£1233 fully comp protected

4th
Elephant
£1205 fully comp only
£1285 fully comp protected

U got any points/convictions mate???

Have you got any previous performance car experience to take into consideration? (sometimes specialist companies can ask this)

I got my WRX03 new when I was 25 and 6yrs NCB (2 none fault accidents & no points). I've got no tracker fitted and live within a Chester postcode which is apparantley high on the crime rate index. I payed £980 with A-Plan Insurance services including NoClaims protection and 550 excess.
This year I'm with elephant with max no claims, protected, 500 excess, £918 including my modified exhaust.

Protect NC is questionable because if you claim once and then mention you've had a claim when trying to renew (no matter whether its protected) you still get pinalised.

Liverpool Viccy are only any good if you are an old codger over 30 odd.

I assume you have tracker because thats the only way the likes of Directline etc will touch you.

The companies that give quotes that require a tracker can seem fairly competative-but you have to add on the £100 odd tracker subscription to that annual fee also+ if you havnt got a tracker fitted allready then youve got to add another £400 odd to get one!

true!........... but you have to admit there are bloody hundreds of import wrx's been driven about the roads of bradford, by suicidal young asian men who have no regard for any other road user.
