Default Central Locking Problem!... please help.....

you know when you just get the car how you want it? running perfectly, sounding awsome, plenty of power on tap, rapid acceleration, just sorted out ICE, even got rid of the annoying heat shield rattle.....

i've just realised that my central locking has stopped working, which means i've been alarming the car by the remote, and it's not been locked for a few days!

I can still open and close all locks from the drivers lock, but the remote is almost locking / unlocking but doesn't quite seem able to do it.

Has anyone had a similar problem and tell me how to sort? I've heard some clonking noises when operating the drivers electric window
could this be related?

I scared the pants off myself by opening the drivers door from teh inside whislt bleeping the locks and it wouldn't lock afterwards

Solved itslef when I put key in lock and held it in locked position whilst bleeping it again....don't ask me how but it was fine afterwards

Is this everywhere or only at certain locations in your area? Sometimes the signals betweeen fob and immob get confused and they dont work. like as if they are being jammed.

??

Good luck with it anyhow.

the fobs are working fine, it's something mechanical. Normally my doors auto lock after a 5 seconds in the car but now i can hear a struggled attempt to lock them but its not quite enough....

However, when i lock using the drivers lock inside the car they all lock and unlock fine.

Any tips before i get inside the door would be re\ally welcome!

I had a simialr issue.

Everything was fine when unlocking. But when locking, the alarm set just fine, but the doors would not lock. I had to lock the car with the key as a workaround and then set the alarm with the key fob. The problem turned out to be a wiring issue and my dealer fixed it under warranty
