scooby comparison
i currently run a uk spec supra twin turbo running 400bhp+. how will it compare to a uk wrx my01. to be honest im interested in 0>60 times and taking corners thats why i have been thinking about selling up and going for a scooby. dont get me wrong the supra is my dream car but im just that little bit sceptical about giving it some around corners/tracks etc. also been considering the mitsibushi evo4/5. how do they compare. i know everyone is scooby biased but honest opinions much appreciated

UK WRX MY01 is just 215bhp and set up more for comfort than 0-60 times - not what you want at all. An STI with Prodrive Performance Pack will give you 300bhp and a much more performance-oriented suspension and brake setup which would be a much more promising start - still less power than your Supra, but arguably better grip and traction that will go some way to making up for it.
A classic shape car (say, an STI V) will have similar power and less weight to carry around - a Type R or RA has short gearing which helps the 0-60 time.
The Evo 4/5 are generally quicker, with less understeer, and the Mitsubishi engine is a better bet if you want to tune it for high power. But, they're more expensive to begin with and some find them uninvolving and clinical compared to the scooby. Best try both just to be sure

I thought I'd point out that the Impreza's tend to understeer when pushed hard, but I guess that would happen a lot later than when your Supra would oversteer.
Evos are supposed to corner neutraly. But they are more expensive to run because of their frequent service intervals. Older ones were something stupid like every 4000 miles, I think the current ones are a more reasonable 9000 miles.
Have you considered a Nissan Skyline? Rear biased 4wd and can be tuned way beyond 400bhp. Not that many about though.
