Any one know of any companies that will cover continuous use of a GB registered car in europe (i.e. france spain and gibraltar) Seem to be having trouble getting cover for more than 90 days

Most insurers do the routine 30 days in one stint and upto 90 days during the year, I have yet to come across one that offers something significantly different.
You might have fun with a country expecting you to register your vehicle within that country if you are using it continuously over such long periods of time. Saying that I know of several people who have kept their original plates in other countries for years and nobody seems to care, bit of a hassle posting tax discs though
